Special guests at BITTM include a strong line-up of Chinese and
international tourism leaders, who will participate in seminars
and workshops with both buyers and exhibitors over three days.
BITTM featured exhibitors from Florida, South Africa and Brunei
to Tunisia, Texas and Bulgaria, offering a diverse range of destinations
and products for Chinese buyers to choose.
Texas, Florida and the US Embassy took advantage of special conference
presentations to trade and press to highlight tourism opportunities
in their destinations as well as a serious discussion of the US
visa application process.
Returning exhibitors took the opportunity to strengthen their
marketing position in China, with the Jamaica Tourism Board launching
their Chinese website and opening an embassy in Beijing to expedite
the visa process for Chinese travelers.
The World Tourism Organization expects China to generate 100 million
international travelers by 2020. Last year nearly 25 million international
Chinese tourists traveled abroad.
